Anyone else getting weird random kudos on Strava? Always the same type of account, seemingly inactive for a number of years with 0 followers and a few following. And from different parts of the world. I can’t work out the reason. My security settings are ok ie no one can see where I live exactly. So what gives?
I have had a few in the run up to Easter.
I have stopped using it for a while. Due to paranoia.
I am still riding though honest!
It is likely to be slightly weird/dodgy profiles being set up for some sort of social media volumes thing.
It might be for dodgy things like working out where people live/bikes they ride, etc. Or it could be some weird thing where people start doing a whole load of kudos things and follow many people (or try to) to looks like a big thing that then gets used to making money (somehow).
No idea though...
Don't see why you would need to do this for nefarious reasons, I'm with the social media/volume reason and/or someone's broken Strava API app.
It's not Melissa, who thinks I'm hot, is it? If it is, she's mine, I saw her first.
I changed my settings so that only friends can see my activity and profile, because the first two weeks after I joined I got bombarded by weird friend requests, followers I didn't know, and kudos from people all over the place.
