Weekly Photo Challenge. Worth a resurrection?

I haven't posted here for about ten years, then out of the blue, I got tagged in a reply today.
Anyway, it reminded me that I used to run a weekly photo challenge.
The way it worked was we'd have a different theme each week, say, 'Bridge', 'Water', or 'Public art' for example, and you'd have a week to take a photo of your bike on a bridge, next to a river, leaning against a statue or whatever.
The important thing is that the picture is taken that week. It's to get you out riding, not searching through your old photos.
Creative interpretation is encouraged, so 'Bridge' could be the bridge of a ship or a signpost for Bridgnorth.
If you post a picture, you can then suggest next week's topic, or vote for someone else's suggestion.
Any interest?
Let's give it a try by making this the first one of a new series, and we'll start with 'Bridge' as it's a nice easy one.
You've got till midnight on Sunday 23.4.2023 to take a photo of your bike on or under a bridge and post it here.

To summarise the rules then.
1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next week's challenge or vote for someone else’s suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably.
5. No limit on number of photos posted.

That's the idea. It's to get you out and thinking of somewhere different to ride.
Taking the photo this week is the important bit though. If you really can't get your bike in the shot as well as the bridge, that's OK.

I was just thinking that in the original series, someone posted a photo once taken from his bike because he said there were a bunch of glue sniffers hanging around and he didn't want to stop any longer than he had to, so yeah, don't do anything dangerous or risky, but otherwise stick to the rules or else it just becomes a 'Post a photo of anything taken anywhere at any time' challenge.

Welcome back to the land of the living Graham. Funnily enough I saw your first ride recorded on Strava for some considerable time yesterday. Coincidence? 🙂

PS Hope the old Landie and the Rohloff are still going strong

Oh dear. I thought the rules were simple enough. Looks like some people are struggling to understand them still.

First ride back after a hernia op 4weeks ago, took it easy (ish) and found a bridge.

I really enjoyed being out on the bike again, feel a million times better than a few hours ago.

Suffering from a sore big toe are smashing it into a bolder Wednesday night, so a fairly flat, chilled pedal out to this Prototype Bailey Bridge in Christchurch.

Couple of others on the route.

Only one submission, the ride was already planned so had to work with what was already on the route!

The bridge is nothing to write home about but the view, setting and sheer tranquility of where it is made it very memorable. Well, until a hoard of motorbikes enjoying a bit of green landing came by it was!

Edit. I give up, sometimes I can post photos... sometimes I can't. There's a picture of a bike and a bridge though, promise 😂

I reckon a trig point is basically a summit cairn. Often one of them knocking about.

A couple in the Wyre Forest

Wyre Forest bridge

Wyre Forest bridge

Summit cairns next week then.
This could be a bit tricky for a lot of us, so no need to be too strict. Any sort of summit or cairn should do, or a Trig Point if there's nothing else near you.
