When I saw this suggested, I assumed it was a euphemism for pubs, so you can take it that way if you want, or you can take it more literally as drinking troughs, natural springs and small ponds.

The rules;
1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next weeks challenge or vote for someone else's suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably.

Not a watering hole as such but here's the bike leaning against the old bollard down at the quay. New cycling bridge in the background

Was originally thinking of pub garden on a nice sunny afternoon but that hasn't happened yet so started with the local drinking trough...

The Totnes Leechwells. More commonly used as a bathing cure for lepers but probably drunk from by unsuspecting visitors who wondered why their body parts started dropping off a few months later...

My Swift near my favorite wildlife ponds.
The meadow is currently grazed by a couple of geese families, which made for a nice change from the usual dog-toffee. 😉

[img] [/img]

Next time - Related to some kinda tourist 'attraction' - the tackier and more pointlessly gauche / gauzy / glitzy the better?

Can I suggest for next weeks photo thingy.
"Wrong bike for the ride"?

Might lead to some interesting situations...

Two suggestions so far;

"Tourist attractions", the tackier the better, so that's life size plastic models of cartoon characters and the like.

or

"Wrong bike for the ride", so that's a full sus on a dual carriageway, a crosser on a DH run, or a 29er anywhere other than a canal towpath.

What's it to be then ?

Booo.

I was looking forward to riding my dropbar 29er down the local DH track then going home and taking my Nomad up Sheepwalk Lane.

With out being able to post pictures on an intenet forum it now seems like a pointless thing to do. 😆
