A quick ride at Durris Woods after nightshift. I felt shattered and weak so gave up after an hour.
I’ll save myself for Saturday and Sunday.
The new bike is very good btw, way more agile than I ever thought a 29’er would ever be 👍

yesterday, decided to ride home from work taking in all the byways and bridleways I could. Ended up being a bit harder than I thought  it would be…particularly the 5km section in the middle that took me nearly 40mins…

First summer evening local ride of the year for me (no training plan = more outside rides), thought I didn't need glasses - what a mistake that was! Swarms of flies and bugs out there.

Isn’t that a pain?
I’ve been caught out recently commuting in twilight as the front light attracts all the bugs and I keep forgetting.

Another incredible day in the Sierra de Tejeda. Taken on some trails I thought I could only ever dream about. Some of our route up can be seen in this pic

The marvellous machine that got me up there

and down again, of course.
Torrox beach in the distance, where i swam the day before 😊

Whilst Abigale was out practicing for tomorrow's Enduro we were lucky to have some guiding on stuff we hadn't done before on the Inners side.
Met her at the end of stage five then back to the camper for a beer

Photos don't do it justice. Definitely the best trip I've ever done and certainly the most sustained technical riding on all sorts of different trails.

There's a whole load more here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alexleigh/albums/72177720298738842/with/52057499597/

I think it'll take me about six months to edit the GoPro footage 🙂

@Alex
Always love seeing your holiday pictures.
Makes me really want to ride my bike.😁
Local ride today with Mrsstu and a couple of folks I've not ridden with before.
Only pic I got is of a very rare thing on our local.
Full on dusty legs.

Mrs_oab is still unwell, but after weeks of being at home she decided a nice easy ride was the order of the day. The cycle route between Comrie and Loch Earn was the answer. Slow, but she did it.

First race back for Abigale after her broken leg. Good news was she finished. Bad news was a bashed mech and broken chain at the bottom of stage 1.
She managed to get the mech working and the chain repaired and then had to coax it round the rest.
The chain has done two weeks in the Alps and a few rides. It came on the bike new. No stretch in it but on first inspection it has got 9 links that have cracks in them. Never seen anything like it before. Spent the day pedaling between the stages spectating

@davros - Fluffy even has a trail named for it so definitely has local recognition!
It's a total scrounger, and has worked out that backpacks contain food so comes up behind you to try and get the food out. It's pecked a mate's ear before.

Yea that would be tough. Luckily i have a levo so was easy. Hardest dialling it back in eco to be social with my mate who was riding.

Were you riding with Sheldon by any chance?

unsurprisingly i've moved to wales and got to know people that have ridden with or met Sheldon
