We actually went for a ride (rather than talk about going for a ride)

Single speed fat bike around Malham today. Very few people out - saw maybe ten walkers and ten bikers. Until I dropped into Malham itself, it might as well have been Blackpool Beach!!!

I picked up a new Specialized Status on Friday.

Took it to Ballo Woods on Saturday and have just got back from a day at Dunkeld.
Both days were awesome and the bike is pretty darn good for the price.

Finally managed to tear myself away from the gravel bike and took the MTB out for a couple of trips.

Yesterday we did Airedale

Today we did Wharfedale

@p20’s kit was washed between rides...

God it’s easy to forget how great the riding is that we have locally. Good reminder!

@ahsat They are from different rides. The top one is looking towards Ballater from the north (Mt Keen in the background). The bottom one was a bimble near Linn of Quoich near Braemar.

Some great photos, glad to see everyone enjoying the good weather.
We had seven hours up in Glentress today doing some old stuff and been shown some new but sadly no pics

Just got one sent from the youngest on the ridge line above Pila, looks like everyone is having a good time

Yes, left yesterday with the intention of a couple of days around Verbier but struggled to camp so went over to Pila sooner than expected

Great video, would have been better if you had been following him 😉

Great photos folks, some lovely conditions everywhere.

Weekend riding with friends and cousins, so trail centres x 2 - Comrie Croft yesterday, Mabie today.

Mabie was OK, Comrie is fantastic!

PS, I'm the one with the big fat heid in the foreground 🙂

Took the fatbike out for the first ride in a while. Er, possibly since November 2018 when I broke my wrist. Had a lovely time just mucking about on fairly local trails, enjoying the sun and the dust and the occasional mud.

Also, apparently fatbikes being so out of fashion now means that people are amused to see them again- little kids pointing, walkers smiling, people shouting stuff from cars, I'd missed that.

A selection of pics from 4 days of riding over Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantocks.

85 miles, 12,000ft of climbing, and dead legs at the end of every day. Bloody Brilliant.

Nice pic heavy thread this week. I'm about to add more weight.

Just catching up from The Lakes last week. First couple of proper rides out on the (finally finished) RocketMAX.

First a shakedown up and over Latrigg.

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

Then the proper test. Hit Helvellyn this time last year but conditions and common sense got the the better of me as I hit the ridge. Was determined to make it to the summit this time. Even if the view was not that amazing.

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

The majestic view from the summit...

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

Then (pretty literally) back down to earth for a couple of local rides in the familliar flatlands of home.
