Working the late shift today so that means a nice commute to work... That's a fantastic little descent in front of me, loads of small root drops hit at speed, and even some flowy sections at the bottom.

12 miles and 1000ft of climbing in just over an hour, tonight will be a race against the light for 10 miles.

Waiting for steroids and antibiotics to kick in properly so I can actually breathe a bit. Hopefully something on Sunday.

Gah, borked chain means new cassette and chain needed. Pop goes the idea of a Sunday ride.

Up in the Borders for the weekend. Walked in the rain yesterday and managed to miss the rain so far today

Also in the borders. Rode the golfie yesterday and thornielee today. My pals legs and head have given up now so tomorrow will just be a glentress blast before heading home.

Today would have been the day to be out. Unfortunately yesterday was the day when I had time to ride, so it was a few hours in the drizzle for me. Still, it wasn’t cold, it wasn’t windy and the birds were geein it laldy, so no complaints.

Not a great pic, but a great ride. 65km, 1400m of climbing, absolute prime dirt in the FoD/Yat. Quite tired now...

Little Sunday bluebell blast. First outing for the Minion DHF 26x2.8. Awesome grip in the corners but draggy as anything - like riding around with a tractor tyre on the front on any smoothish surface. Will persevere for another couple of rides before I decide whether I'm going back to something lighter.

The eldest and I were at BPW Wales for the first round of the Mojo Racing Duo series.

We had a great time!

Dunkeld enduro for me on Saturday, almost bottled it with the rain chucking it down on the way but so glad I didn’t. Then a cycle path to the cafe for ice creams with the kids on Sunday . Even managed to watch the World Cup replay on Sunday night so all in a pretty good weekend .

BillOddie - I think we saw you there - I was on a bird AM9, my boy on a little Marin hawkhill. We were in front of you in the uplift queue I think. Great day out, we actually did 5 stages rather than the 3 that I thought were scheduled for the 8-9 year olds. Great atmosphere - I thought the format was really good fun and hardly any waiting around. We can't make the next two unfortunately as they clash with BMX races but will hopefully be at the FoD round.

Lakes. Forecast was terrible, but it turned out pretty good. Nan Bield had to be done.
