In the Peak for the Bank Holiday. Killing two birds with one stone and dropping the new bike into 18 Bikes for invisiframe and some swaps.
Not a good start as camper went into limp mode but big thanks to Transit Centre for sorting it and salvaging the weekend, you live an learn and a lucky escape.

Dropped a couple of bikes in at 18 Bikes to swap stuff about and invsiframe the new one, a first for me.
Back to the camper for bacon, black pudding and mushroom sarnies and then out in the hills between Castleton and Ladybower. The trails were a bit moist but for a Bank Holiday were empty.

Still taking it easy on my tendonitis-ridden wrist so a chilled loop in the Manifold Valley in the White Peak.

Nice loop, a lot of tourists about. Sick to death of saying, yes, they are big tyres aren't they 😂🙄

I drove from Aberdeen to Morvich on Thursday night, doing my best to avoid all the deer on the roads. Kipped in my car and then did the Beinn Fhada loop on Friday. Headed back to Aviemore for a fish supper and spent another night in my car. Today was a bit of High Burnside and Carbridge singletrack.
I was a bit smelly when I got home earlier 😀
Ace weekend.
Beinn Fhada loop is stunning.

Spent the day in the Beacons. Always amazes me that everyone goes to the same places as everyone else then complains it's busy. Plenty of space if you know where to go...

No-one else in that picture! And yes, that track is normally lovely dirt at this time of year but through lack of use means it's grass that acts like velcro. Plus a headwind.

It hurt but was worth it for the descent.

Still not many out in the Peak, trails are drying out but the bottom half of the Beast was like a fast flowing stream.

A wee overnighter with a friend. I'd passed this shelter a couple of times so thought it was about time to give it a go.

We did some Arran gravelling thanks to folks on here for the suggestion. Legs were a bit fried from yesterday’s hike, but very enjoyable.

Just read this back and it's a long longer than I intended!

Not really got any photos but had a great day with the youngest at Glenlivet. Shes been really keen this past week for going out on her bike and it's probably been about 8 months since she last showed an interest so said we could maybe go to glenlivet at the weekend if she kept it up.
It was rammed again today so went to the blue skills area first, she didnt like it! lots of feet down and walking around the berms on the first attempt. Ended up doing it 7 times and the 4th run onwards were all clean with no stopping or feet down 🙂
She then wanted to do the tail end of the blue so up the fire road towards the orange and we did that, again it's not much but to someone little the rollers are probably quite scary first time around so walked a couple of them and got back to the Cafe in one bit and smiles all round. By this time it's getting close to 4 so we have a seat and she comes out with " can we do the whole blue" On one hand I'm thinking it might be pushing it as she's done really well and hasn't came off at all and on the other hand don't really want to say no as she's having a lot of fun so off we went, and the blue loop was done!

the difference from when we first got there to the end of the day was huge. It looks like I've found my new riding partner now her big sister is losing interest!

brilliant photo moonsaballoon!

Nice one Daviek . Its great when you get that moment when it clicks for them , we had a similar thing at Glentress last year on berm baby berm . First run down took us about 45 mins then when he realised he could do it there was no stopping him and we had to do it another 6 times .

@daviek - sounds great, and Glenlivet is ideal as a place without too much fear and challenge.

Camping in Silverdale at the weekend, managed to sneak off for an explore round Arnside Knott a couple of times... went out armed with full repertoire of retorts for the militant footbandits i was warned about but everyone i met was nice and friendly... obviously kept well away from the busier routes but found some pretty cool stuff from the trig point and in the woods out on the headland...

final run of the day i got 3 separate punctures in one tyre!! any puncture is pretty rare for me, 3 in one suggests some kind of sabotage!?
