You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I hope no one has added the WRPT yet. I’ve been doing more searching around Chatel for trails, and found two more wonderful trails. So I’m exceedingly pleased with myself. Plus I managed to get further up the hill than I have done previously.
Local trip to Healey Nab. The trail builders are doing great work, they said they should be finished in 5 weeks.
Thought I'd make an easy spin harder.
Old 456ebb on slicks around the local non-tech woods with the kids. I'd forgotten how good those old xmm forks were, shame no one services them any more.
Nice sunny pics ^^^ rainy and yuk today 'ere in norn iron, maybe tomorrow for a ride out...
Cycle path trundle with the kids today. Took the road bike on some gravel/bridleway through the woods as well and reminded myself I probably don't want a gravel bike after all, riding anything but road on the hoods/drops just feels wrong!
Out in the Peak for the weekend. Thought we would try somewhere different so spent some time at Black Rock before moving across to Shining Cliff Woods
Sun was out all day and managed to see the eclipse this morning as we peddled from the camper.
Managed to get 2 rides in today, what a time to be alive! Started out light and ended up being glad I took a head torch! Now I'm back on the gravel bike fence as the hardtail isn't particularly engaging to ride from the door.
Last weekend in Finale, but just going through some DJI footage and dumped some clips into Lightbox and chose cycling as a theme.
Missed out on great riding conditions this week to save myself for my first "proper" 10km run. Went really well, did the "plan to run" "run to plan" thing with my mate Ian who stopped me going off to fast. Happy with the time, last 2KM was a bit hard work, but definitely be doing another one. Very lucky with the weather as well.
Back on the MTB next week tho!
Lovely ride today. Am trails were dry. Very pleased to have routes like this from the door. Even got a tow back into the head wind from some roadies
bluebird day in the Blacks today. Under strict orders not to be more than 2 hours away so rode from home to maximize time out. Did a favourite loop with lots of technical rock gardens and big, big E-bike climbs. So nice. Weather perfect, no bracken, good company and did our new tecnical route without a dab for the first time. On a negative note I havbe NEVER seen it this dry in March. Hope it rains soon or there will be trouble ahead.
Too much was being had to take pictures but the boy discovered he'd done this when we got back to the van.
Evening riding laps are back yay !
5pm start, no lights and a a dusty bike.

200m, 2 flats, one spare tube (because why would my teenagers bring any spares for themselves) long walk, zero pictures 😞
To cap off our abbreviated ride a coil spring failed on the car going home. 😭
In case he's on here, thanks to the gentleman who offered me a spare tube before discovering it wasn't in his bag after all. It was a very kind gesture.

I was halfway down a 300m hill this evening when I suddenly realised I didn't have my hip pack on... the one with the tools and tube. But I couldn't remember if I had it on at the lookout at the top of the hill or if i'd left it at home. Rather than slog back up the hill I gambled on having forgotten it and sure enough there it was on the garage floor when I got back.
@jimmy748.. where is this? Looks fantastic

Windspit quarry, has one of the best bits of singletrack in the area leading there, and the Square & Compass pub are top of the climb out.

Video of me at macavalanche if anyone's bored enough to watch 25mins of me skyting down a hill

Looks beautiful.
And a timely post...
I was thinking about heading over there on friday. Anything worth checking out before the bracken takes over?
