Rare road ride for me yesterday, as I turn my attention to an upcoming charity 400km ride, Leeds to Scotland and back in a day! 😳

Sluggan bridge. Riding the Burma road today Saturday. Cracking route never disappoints.

A short ride today from Callander to Archray Farm, for ice cream

For the record, Lemonbalm and wild strawberry is better than rhubarb... According to me. Mrs_oab disagrees.

Not really a weekend photo - but I am just back from a few days away in Perthshire.

Day 1: Back roads to Pitlochry.
Day 2: Loch Tummel, Loch Rannoch and then Loch Ossian Youth Hostel.
What a place, and hot showers too!
Loch Ossian Youth Hostel beside Loch Ossian

Day 3: Loch Ossian north to Laggan and then back to Pitlochry.
Looking to Ben Alder from north of Loch Ossian

Then my Achilles inflamed for the first time ever and I had to get the train of shame home.
Last two days had planned to be Drumochter back to Stirling but I could barely walk and every pedal stroke was sore. There was a single bike space on the train so I booked it. Good decision in hind sight else I'd have done serious damage and would not have made it home.

No pics showing for me @sterlingcrispin. EDIT: can see via link just not in thread.

Want an ice cream for breakfast now @matt_outandabout 🙂

No riding pics but somehow I ended up with this:

My excuse was I had a funky frame protection kit that'd been sat in the spares drawer for ages, and it might 'go off' if I didn't fit it soon 🙂 Sadly won't get it built before away on hols. Going to strip my current HT and keep the one I like best.

Eastern half of the East Devon gravel trail.
91km, 2000m of climbing, lots of lovely bridleways and back country roads.
Some amazing views and A LOT of nettles 😁

I rode a drop bar bike for the first time in 30 years. 60kms of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Quiet lanes, respectful drivers, light drizzle. A perfect warm up for a pub crawl.

Tried to stay out of the sun as much as possible by keeping to the woodland paths. Still very humid on Saturday, day ended with rumbling thunder and lightning!

Great ride over the Golfie yesterday.
Almost perfect conditions and loads of riders out.
No pics though as it was to good to stop.

Today headed over to Thornielee and had a disaster on our second descent.
No idea how it happened but snapped the mech clean off. 😒
It's sheared the casting both sides on one of the pivot points.

Saturday - first big test of the eebs with a chunk of the SUW in our sights - or not as it turned out - GF's Merida threw a W011 error 20km in, so (after faffing with speed sensor wires/connectors) that was that!

Sunday - made up for yesterdays disappointment by seeing our first ever Pine Marten in the wild on todays ride (East Ayrshire/Galloway border).

Apologies for the spam, but just back from an amazing week in the Lenzerheide/Arosa/Chur region. The riding was top notch, and even though the higher lifts weren't open, there was still plenty of riding to be had. Can't wait to go back next year and! I can highly recommend it as an alternative to the usual destinations.
