A while since I've started one of these threads!
Friday afternoon old school XC ride to recce bits of the routes for our D of E students' expedition next week. Strike day so ideal opportunity to get paid for riding my bike. 28 degrees and the wrong bike not such a good idea. Still better than sitting in the office catching up with paperwork though.
Early one this morning, just some gentle gravel before the forecast storms, and a busy day ahead.
A bit of nadger with Rab from whiterooms. Always fun and always has a challenging element, which I enjoy.

Weds-Thurs-Fri rides on the new-to-me RipMo. Back out tomorrow. Legs were very clear after 100km/3000m of climbing this week they were not available for a ride today 😉

It's been dull and rainy here so here's a pic from after my little loop of the peninsula to get the feel of the place.
I like seeing these pics and rides and bikes though on the latter I do feel a tad inadequate on my old Ridgeback!
No pics for me due to heavy rain in the thunderstorms at Leeds Urban Bike Park, but had a blast. Great fun sliding around and the first time I’ve done a wet ride in months!

I spent most of this week in a horribly crowded and hot Bracknell / Swinley area. So it was lovely to head out locally with views like this and fewer people around.
Back end of the week cheeky after work ride on the Salter Fell (Roman) Road from Wray to Slaidburn and back.
And a Sunday ride from home (between Hawes and Sedbergh) to Langwathby via as many Eden Valley 'lonins' as possible. Train home on the Settle and Carlisle.
A cracking hack around the home turf of Rossendale yesterday before the rain set in.
Just a little local 20km spin, mostly to try out a new saddle and shorter stem.
Also saw a plane, ate a cake, drank some coffee and went to the supermarket on the way home. 🙂 Bananas got a bit squashed 😞

Friday after work blast. Absolutely baking hot and loads of people out enjoying the woods and parks. Even went for a cheeky skinny dip. It was great.
Today, out on the gravel bike. Still warm but damp from the overnight rain. Trails still running pretty decent mind you!

Dropped on the French/Italian border.
Pedaled over to La Thuile.
Did a few laps in the bike park including some EWS stages then pedaled back to Landry.
