My baby is finally sleeping through the night,(WAHEYYY) fingers crossed, so I have been granted permission to go night riding tonight. So 29ering tonight round ParkHall, Wetley Moor & back through Hanley Forest Park where they found a dead body the other week. 😕 (tenuous Halloween link) Sunday morning looks like full on sunshine so out again then early, maybe Cannock or a biggish local ride without the drive, haven't decided. Have a good one all. 😀

I'm thinking of spinning out west from Northampton. There's a Wiggle sportive out that way that some mates are riding so I might sit in a cafe and watch them come past.

Damn right Friday is the weekend.

35 glorious miles on the sus around Hudds.

Weather was spot on.

Gorgeous Lakes ride today. Some of the nicest autumn light I've seen!

A mighty 5k across the mosses with the boys, "don't go through that puddle it's deeper than ....it....oh" Full wellies all round.

20 miles off piste over Cannock ,even though car park was full and kids everywhere once out of birches valley only saw a handful of people ,weekend at home and Monday down to Malvern

Great Orme today (in full commuting trim).

Love riding on the Orme roads, never been off-road up there though.

I am disgustingly ill at the moment so will have to share a pic from Herts earlier this week, but it does feature dust!

ridiculously dry out today, river low enough to use the ford and the sun came out too. All in All very nice for the time of year. 😀

Ridiculously windy in the Eastern Cheviots today ( gusting 50-60 mph according to the local forecast) ..each mile felt like five battling the headwind for a good 3/4 of the ride ..but the last long grassy descent was so dry& fast it was just about worth the effort ..

Just laying out my kit for an early start in the morning, wife says I have to be back by 11. The clocks go back tonight....so that's an extra hour of cycling then!

Strava has the furthest left of the trails at an average gradient of -52%.......I managed the first 25 metres or so and gave up.

Just back from Afan now with my Daughter, first go at the Rookie for her, we made it to the mini Park, 4 laps and half way back before her legs gave in and I had to give her a lift. Still lovely day.

Had a great time this morning, managed 27 miles out in the Autumn sun, a very Worzel Gummidge sort of a day, crows cawing across the fields. Lots of friendly roadies waving hello. Flipping farmers have been flailing the hedgerows and leaving the cuttings in the road.

Up in The Lakes with the missus but took the plus hardtail. Loughrigg terrace on Saturday (in half term, I’m a genius) and Whinlatter South and Blue today. Both decent little rides. I’m not sure I ever enjoy a climb, but the singletrack up the South at Whinlatter is pretty good.

Nice wee chilled day riding Laggan red, black and then brown with some mates. First I've ridden across the road, and tbh I wish I'd jut rode over that side all day, was brilliant.

Then over to Fort William to grab a bite and a few beers with a mate over there, and a wee stealth night in the van before heading up to Nevis for a day of gravity action. Was going swimmingly before I had a wee date with bedrock just before the woods on WC track, I didn't want to have the meeting, but the ground was insistent...

Then a quite stunning drive home before the nightmare that was the A82 closure. 6 1/2 hrs for a journey that normally takes less than half that. Hey ho.
