Ha ha @ stu, didn't want to go too ballistic. Nice job, was that today (Friday) ? No riding today but I was up the other trail (mince and tatties?) clearing some low branches on that.

@aide
Yes today.
We passed you twice.
Once when you were at the bottom of the trail talking to @intheboarders then again just after the rock garden.
Good job we knew you were on the trail and looking out to stop.
🤣

My Morph frame arrived so took it on a Ochils shakedown via Ben Cleuch. Missed a full steel FS! Down the Nebit DH it was slippery as hell. Raining for a few hours up top. Argotal may go back on!

Plenty of rain soaking the FoD/Yat yesterday. Trails were fine today until they weren't 😉 Not helped by some idiot deciding to drink loads of beer and THEN switch to wine last night.

Fair to say not my greatest day riding, but still brilliant and, of course, we ended up back in the pub for more beer and chips 🙂

Out of the house at 05:30 as I had a busy afternoon. Sunshine and happy people about on the trails.

Yummy bread pudding provided enough energy to get home.

First job today before we could even consider riding was to do some temporary repairs to the camper that was damaged by the heat from one of Tuesday's wild fires where its stored.

The pod and window above the cab are badly distorted and cracked as are the joining panels behind the cab doors.
Most of the plastic fittings on the cab are melted but the painwork looks good.

We needed to make it watertight and usable, even if it looks a pig, until the insurance claim is sorted. We were lucky as some have lost everything.

The fire got within a foot of the van

[img] [/img]

Once we got it presentable and drivable we loaded up the van and went up to session on Cutgate setting up Kevin's new to him bike. The trails were dry, loose and fast. Only had to share them with the sheep

After biblical rains at the end of the week we decided kids rides should be more gravel oriented this weekend.

Took the lads for a spin on Saturday to check conditions and had so much fun on the roads and 4x4 tracks we invited a load of mates out to try it on Sunday too.

At some point some of the bigger kids tried their Dad’s bikes!

Have generally been avoiding the Golfie lately as it's so damn busy, but weather and circumstances dictated yesterday.

Bombholes, braking bumps, and piles of rubble in the corners... bone dry and sketchy AF

Haven't ridden 2nd base for ages, prompt ate shit on the final chute...no catch berm, just a pile of loose rocks. Ouchy, my hand is very sore this morning. :/

Dust on the gravel tracks, but definitely drizzle over the mountains. I was five minutes too slow to avoid getting wet 🙂

Another local loop for me this weekend, although I extended it a bit this time. Found a strange bit of graffiti, kind of like it and better than the random 'tags' the rest of the wall is covered in.

Knackered afterwards, longing for the pre-pandemic days when I'd knock out loops like this easily and an all-day epic was tough but doable. Would struggle to get round most trail centre loops at the moment.

Little explore around the local hills in Austria, areas I’ve only boarded before.
