It's the W.R.P.T. again.
Ride your bike.
Take some pictures.
Post them up here with a few words about the ride.
Ride out round Gypsy Glen this morning with Mrsstu and a couple of mates.
Cold start but glorious blue skies.
Lovely.
Weird pictures are showing in preview but haven't shown up on the post.
A beautiful nearly spring ride around the dales, the first pic taken from Hawkswick Clowder looking over to Pendle Hill on the right and the second taken from Weets Top, looking over the limestone pavements of Malhamdale to Ingleborough in the distance bathed in sun
I’m almost in shock by the bone dry, fabulous-condition trails on Cavehill, Belfast today. I’d forgotten how much I love Spring. Sorry for the crap pictures - my photos always seem to be of the same places and I was struggling to think of something different to capture.
This photo is from a wonderful trail that I only ride in the dry. I just find it too difficult and slippy in the wet. So it was wonderful to find out that everything has dried up so much that this trail is riding so sweetly.
Flipping blip
(My photos worked!)
See if this works.
Some drone footage from today's ride.
Blimey looks like it worked.😁
Another Saturday spin round the local. The clay is slowly drying out... Slowly... Possibly more time spent filming and taking photos than actually riding, but had a new (to me) camera body to play with.
Still in Japan. The bike parks are closed till mid April so just exploring the nearby roads on the road bike. Did a short loop on Saturday morning as the rain is coming in for the rest of the weekend. Out the front door, along the coast, then up/down some local hills.
Observation tower by the sea:
Mount Fuji from the coast:
Behind some containers:
At the top of the loop:
Then back down:
Me and HTO son#2 headed for Greno on Friday. First time I've been. Was a bit daunted at first, but got into the swing of it and enjoyed sessioning some stuff. Good as a bit of a taster for a BPW weekend next weekend.
No riding for me this weekend, as my wife is in London so I'm on dad duty. Loving the pics in the thread so far, I'm very jealous of you all!
Awesome up Edale today - Jacobs Ladder loop. Many mechanicals and the lads scrapping while they were cold and bored 🤣
Didn't get many pics from the best viewpoints, but hey....
Only 16 miles but always feels like 25
Didn’t have much time to ride, due to a family lunch thing. But knew I could get one lap in when I got home. So I thought I’d take out the old-fashioned non-e bike. I’m ashamed that it’s the first ride on a real bike in months. Flip me - I thought I was going to die! Can’t believe, checking it out on Strava, that my max heart rate was only 168. It felt like I was red-lining in the techy parts of the climb.
Wasn't sure whether I'd get out this weekend.as there was a lot going on which was hard to pin down.
Just about had time this afternoon to get a quick visit in to one of my favourite places to ride. I almost didn't but im really glad I got out as it was running absolutely prime
I was keeping it a bit pegged back on the descents as I was on my own and we're away next weekend.
However one of my riding buddies invented a horrible climb last year that is just about rideable for me on a good day. I managed to KOM it today which I was well pleased with. It's not a hotly contested one, however I struggled with it all last year, usually having to push, so I'm really pleased the recent training and being sensible with the beers is paying off 👍
