You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Is it the weekend yet? I declare YES.
Bestwood Park near Nottingham. There's a disapproving GGT (Gated Gammon Community) nearby, and you need to tackle the glares with politeness and friendliness.
Gorse in full bloom

The jump builders have been busy

And discovered a passenger on my helmet after the ride

A quick, by Scottish standards, trip over to Torridon to ride the Achnashellach descent a couple of times. It is a deceptively big loop and was a bit of a struggle in 20 degree heat, especially when you have been used to the cold and rain for the last eight months.

Had a most delightful ride this morning, hitting all the jumps, drops and scary bits on local trails in a chilled no rush fashion, it did get a tad warm though! 🙂

Visited Ballater yesterday. superb weather.

Swapped wheels over, indexed the gears, shimmed my slipping seatpost with a bit of beer can and put on my new shoes for a sunset shakedown ride.
Took the boys to their weekly mtb coaching. Trails are still wet so I wasn't very excited to be out but managed to have a bimble, clear a tree off a track and become a victim of gravity half way around a corner.

Local spin after work

Colsnaur with friends.
Stunning morning with a 500m vertical descent 🙂

Nuck me. Looks like the image upload has been fixed? Or did I just get lucky?
Bluebells still looking good in the Wye Valley.
Er. . .Nope. Failure for another image. Same process:

Dialogue says the same old poop about file size and image type 🥱😫🙄
A gentle local road spin this morning after yesterday’s late afternoon gravel turbine loop

We were out early up on to Cutgate. Conditions were near on perfect. 😎Few walkers and another couple of riders about but we had it mainly to ourselves. North America has been roughed up a bit and is now worth a blast down it.
Washed out at the bottom of the last descent 🤣

A little 10 miles blast before lunch. I'm very out of shape due to various broken body problems but it felt so good to be out on the bike in the sun
😎
First 100km in a very, very long time but I thought I'd best get in some training for Ride to the Sun.

Sunny ride but still not fully dry in the Yat. New bike was lovely tho as was the warmth and then the cold beer!

Up along and down the mountain to get beer and ice cream.

Just 45 mins round Bala lake. Undercarriage still not right after Mad Manc last week. Did the Mad Manc on same bike with road wheels/tyres as this thing has gears unlike my two vintage road bikes.

18 mile figure of eight from Fox House. Lady Cannings, Stanage across the top and down to the Plantation (down the ravine, not the usual descent - with a Strava 9th place), back to to Fox House and over to Devils Elbow.
Absolutely fabulous mornings riding. Think I read in one of the Sheffield threads a while back someone say the riding around Sheffield is nothing special. They need a head check 🤣
Winter miles, regular riding, stopping the booze, stopping smoking, less of the ebike and losing weight all contributing to being almost where I want to be with my fitness

Bikepark Klinovec in the Czech Republic today. It’s fantastic but the lift queue…

4 lifts in 4 hours doesn’t seem good value to me.
No actual riding pics but I’ll see what the GoPro delivers.
First time out the door for fun for few weeks, glorious weather.
60km and about 1000m around Surrey and Kent.
Need to wear my specs when taking pics - this looked great without the varifocals.....
This should win thread of the week every week. Brilliant photos that continue to inspire week after week.
If you lives near the Mendips, just go now! The hills are all purple (bluebells, not aurora)!
I was enjoying today's ride in perfect conditions but sadly I suffered a heart arrhythmia which lasted ten to fifteen minutes - longest I've had. Thankfully righted itself and had a slow ride home.
Saturday midday.
Lovely ride, but slightly time compressed, so only managed 30 miles out to Curbar, Longshaw then back home. Would have preferred to have added another few miles over to Lady Cannings and Devils Elbow. The weather was so glorious with no mud for the first time since September. Also no time for a mid-ride pint.
Although did go over to some friends for a BBQ as soon as I got home and Mrs Jeffl smashed it out the park with the beer and cider choice she made 😃

Forgot this one, dunno why but I just like it.

Quick morning ride around Hardcastle Crags, Midgley moor and Luddenden before it got too hot (for me). Beautiful.

my offering is very tame compared to the excellent pics and rides above but it was enjoyable enough all the same, out this morning and back home before anyone else was up 👍

Only one pic - riding mates at Black Rocks trig
Awesome ride, trails running so fast. For those that know it - Crich Chase, Black Rocks, Shining Cliff/Ambergate woods. Managed an out of my comfort zone steep techy section at Black Rocks
Comical OTB for me chasing down a faster rider - which I said I wouldn't do as it would end in trouble 🤣. Foot/pedal smashed a big rock, bike stopped and I carried on. Mate said it looked like I did a handstand and front flip off my bars. No major damage done
We all waxed lyrical about how great summer riding is. It feels like summer is here!

I've not been on the bike for some time now. Work, life, and head has hampered what I enjoy somewhat.
But when the twins ask to go on a long "adventure ride", then it's impossible to say no.
Not epic or gnar ridden like some of the impressive rides on here. But I wouldn't swap it...

Looks like everyone has had an amazing weekend. Keep the pics coming.
No riding for me today as I'm a bit sore from yesterday's off. Its also given me some time to get ready for Abigale coming back from NZ tomorrow for a month. Can't wait to ride with her again

"Just 45 mins round Bala lake."
One day, I hope to find a way of cycling around that area despite the lack of a car and how much my fitness has dropped over the last 18 months, not to mention the weight gain from 80Kg to 95Kg! Hirnant Pass up to Lake Vernwy is supposed to be a lovely climb, while there's also three ways up to Bwlch Y Groes summit, including from Bala Lake and the infamous route from the south that has a significant stretch at ~20% gradient. 😮
For a change, yesterday I took my hybrid out to around Droxford for another very gentle ~2.5 hour ride, recently my rides have been such low effort that I've been barely any slower than my road bike!
Absolutely
Chuffing
Brilliant ride today.
God, I love riding bikes (I'm not even religious). It is so bloody brilliant 😍 😍 😍 😍
I was going to sack it off due to thunder forecast, but it never materialised. Hot and sunny the whole way. Everything running fast and uber prime
Headed out from home heading for a localish moor. Trails on the way, enduro bits in some woods, more trail, then more enduro.
Train home. I cut it very very very fine making the train! 25 minutes remaining I decided to do one last climb and 1 last descent. 2 mins to spare when I arrived at the station!

Post-thunderstorm ride. 1st pic from Knockmountain over to Ardmore peninsula / Helensburgh / Gare Loch / Loch Long and the Argyll hills.
Brilliant ride on the local tech today, needed that! More climbing/miles than usual but good to take advantage of the conditions before the storms arrived.

Every trail on Exmoor seems to be mint at the moment

Hazy 35km around Moel Famau following the Singletrack 121 Classic route. It's only an hour from Manchester, and it was nice to get out to a different part of the country for a change. Bone dry, covered in sheep shit at the end though.
Ride in the forest on Sunday. Early, didn't see anbody else. Peaceful.

Threw a number on and speed-tucked my way into a top third time at Hamsterley Beast Enduro/Funduro. Felt like we've gone straight from deepest winter instantaneously to full scorching British Summer and bypassed Spring in one week.

Absolutely fantastic event, incredible weather. Camping, good food, good band on, and just about resisted having too many beers on Saturday night. Good vibes all round.
@Elshalimo Shibden Head in the Shibden Valley, Beautiful part of the world. I should ride up there more often given its so close
Thanks - looks great riding
