I don’t think there’ll be any riding for me this weekend, but the bikes have been getting some love.

New fat tires for the Camino

[img] [/img]

And a pair of Rises getting their suspension linkages cleaned up & reassembled to hopefully stop them coming loose. (And a bit of general fettling).

After a week of Covid i had to take my youngest to a club and pick him up three hours later. Bloody perfect excuse to check my recovery fitness! And also try the Funduro race segment I missed on Wednesday morning.
Was riding fine when I dropped into the gnar, and about halfway through the segment saw another rider on a track that I was about to merge with. Gassed it and must have caught a sharp edge.
So of course that meant that at my furthest distance from the car this happened. Arse.

https://ibb.co/xF6F81P
https://ibb.co/QjWBspQ

Fitted a plug and realised I was going to have to rush to make it to pick up time… the air wasn’t holding so I gave it a pump and bent the valve. Swapped in another and it still didn’t work! Had to run with the bike to the car 😫

We're visiting friends who live within cycling distance of the Surrey Hills. I've convinced him to get the bikes out of the garage - just need to find a seatpost that fits

I'm rode a few of the trails at Bielsko-Biala in Poland today. I only managed to do the green and blue trails as I was being shown around by one of my partner's relatives who only rides a few times a year.
I was on a hired e-bike (first go on one) and we caught the gondola to the top 😳😂
The trails were pretty good but the monster truck e-bike spoiled the experience a little. I won't be purchasing one unless my health dictates I have to.

Tried to follow a GPX but failed, so bimbled my way around a hill above Conwy and had a great time

@pisco 2 things that always amaze me, houses without a  couple of working bikes and houses without a decent stereo!

Still I guess my house guests always used to go home saying 'can't believe they don't have a TV'

Was like a river on the top half

It kind of is a river.

A few weeks ago that totalled my rear tyre and I couldn't fix it.
Had to walk back to Blazing Bikes pushing, which is a lot further walking than riding 😊

It kind of is a river

I remember it always being a little puddley but it looks like they've been doing some work on the trail and the stream seems to now divert down the trail.
Maybe I'm missing remembering.

He won't let me post a picture, but one of my sons just spent on Skye and got a cracking tan.

Then had a significant hair cut.

He's sporting a 2cm white line around his Barnet.....

First ride on dirt for a while. Gentle (really only fire roads and green/blue bits), but dodgy joints survived. Good times. Onwards and upwards from here hopefully.

Also got chance to play a bit more with the new camera.

Finally got on my bike after a 2 month layoff recovering from a minor arse op.

Had a quick ride to Darwen tower to make sure nothing 'popped out'.

Last night went to Music in the Park and watched Bad Manners and Bananrama

I finally made it across the recently installed bridge linking Glen Tromie and Glen Feshie. What a magic loop that makes.

Only did 40km though as I also had a hill run this evening and had to save my legs for that!

A game of two halves for us, but both halves in glorious sunshine.

Binnerette number 2 took a well earned break from her GCSE revision for a potter round Calyton Vale trails in glorious sunshine. We both got quite nettled

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

Then my first ride on the road bike yesterday for quite some time. I suffered while trying (unsuccessfully) to stay with my triathlete mate Sarah as she disappeared off into the distance
