Rad day at Cwmcarn today.
There's lots of pinch gates there now to try and stop motorbikes.

I still got mine through though ... 😉

Been a while since I've been there so really enjoyed it 😊

It’s great over there, tyres are a bit draggy, but that can only make me stronger in the long run.

Went to explore a new section of the Beacons today, round Ystradfellte and along a bit of the Sarn Helen road.

Was starting to wish I had taken the full sussr rather than the hardtail about halfway round, very rocky! Was good to be out in the wild though, only saw two other riders in the distance and three walkers on the whole route.

Bit of a soggy one today. More a day for enjoying little details than big views.

Local trails for us today.
Bumped into the guy that's responsible for a load of new trails popping up in the woods.
Going to be giving him a hand with building a few bits and pieces in future.

More road this week, my Achilles is still playing dafty.

Posh Perthshire in the early autumn - we dodged the rain, the A9 being closed and many other riders being out. Lush.

I thought I'd done a 73km loop onto Gelligaer common and down into Bedlinog but I don't have any pics so I didn't. I wonder why my legs are tired.

First time back in the local woods for a while. Found some new bits the diggers have been working on, and witnessed the (necessary I guess) carnage of harvesting as one of our best bits of singletrack has bitten the clay. RIP Sticky Bomb...

Friday night saw my first night ride of the year. 22 miles of familiar gravel trails from the front door. Even managed a pub stop on the way home, do t think I’ve managed one of those since before child number two was born almost 3 years ago!

@kayak23 - yes, it is pretty mad riding terrain. We are off to Fuerteventura tomorrow, never ridden there before it will be interesting to see how it compares.

Yesterday was a good day.

Not been out for a while just went up Setters for a few runs

Then was watched by the littlest boss while I washed the bike down, I think he might like bikes...

Then over to Watchtree Nature Reserve so the kids could get some two wheel time. The daughter cracked setting off by herself and the boy is really coming on with his balance bike. Proud dad moment 😊

Amazing Weather, Amazing Weekend!

After last weekends washout, we went back to the Malvern Hills on Saturday and rode the long loop - some pretty amazing views were taken in too

And then on to the mighty off-piste of the Forest of Dean yesterday. 20miles of simply sublime trails, hero dirt, cracking weather and some great company - had to be up there as one of the best days riding this year!

Mrs Ready on one of the many chutes we found.

I just wish I didn't live 4hours drive away.. 😥

@fergal We did it and Ben Avon south to north dropping down to Inchrory. Over Bealach Dearg back to Braemar. Superb, tough day out. Way below zero up top when you factor in the strength of the wind but it more of a help than a hindrance, thankfully.

Saturday - No pics but got lost in a bog looking for a path I was sure was there. Turns out it is, just slightly to the left. (Jocks road).
Sunday - road loop Deeside to Donside and back. Three nice climbs though was a bit windy on one of the descents and so I never quite managed to let go of the brakes.

Yes as Shortbread describes, not the wrong way round for our route choice.
I've ridden it counterclockwise too and the descent is a better climb 😉
The descent off Ben Avon to Inchrory is brilliant though.
