6 degrees when I left at 8pm, massive shock to the system!   Looking very like Autumn outside:

Vibe doing shuttling duties at local 'Big Apple' event that runs in the village hall and loads of local cider places, etc. I am fuelled entirely by excellent home made cakes as I really don't like cider (or Perry). Which is probably not a bad thing as we live 2 miles from Weston's 🙂

Bike is fab for this kind of thing. Much better than bringing the car. Proper MTB slopfest incoming tomorrow I suspect.

Shock is back from the menders and fitted, the fry up is digested and the beer/curry fog is lifting to the fumes of Putoline as I get a few bits ready for winter/trip away at half term.

Sadly not actually riding until next week some time.

Yes, heavens opened after this shot. Heavy rain but about 15 degrees.

Rain coats on!

Liquid rewards for riding on regardless

Overnight frost first thing today but soon warmed up

Mont Alpet bike park. It's kinda good and at only 20€ a bargain!

If you're in Finale sometime and don't fancy paying 80€ to ride the same trails again and again, Mont Alpet and Viola bike parks are only an hour or so away.

Local loop. Fresh out today, but decent weather and dodged the showers - sloppy though. Met some other eebers at my local/end of my ride that had come down from Wakefield to do a big ride.

Paid a visit to the new flow trails at Glentress.  They were pretty good fun.  The taster trails are a nice little touch.

Didn't quite get the layering right this afternoon, sunny but chilly in the shade.

First time out in the dirt for a couple of months 60.7km, 1083m climbing, dryer and less muddy/spikey/stingy than my last outing.

Proud Dad moment as I took the eldest on a club ride - his longest ride to date.

Hot AF for early Spring here and ridiculously dusty.

He cleaned a tricky tech climb, passing stranded riders left and right and bossed all the downhills too.

16 k road loop at the local roadie sportive . My youngest was convinced we'd won the race when they gave him his medal , he didn't seem to notice the broom wagon that was about 20 meters behind us the whole way round 😁IMG-20231014-WA0002

Mon-Wed is my weekend. Currently sitting in this shelter on the high point of the Pennines. Was going to head for a bothy this evening but the view from here is too good so I'm settling in for the night. Reckon the Talisker should keep me warm enough.

@Alex great work on the shuttling by bike. As I love cider and Perry and orchards I really enjoy both the harvest time and blossom time trials. Although I got rather carried away with the enjoyment on Saturday. This meant I wasn’t quite at my best to race on Sunday but I still had a go and finished 19th.  https://flic.kr/p/2p9skqZ
And please will someone point me to how to post images from Flickr here?!?

12 mile round trip to the farm shop for a meat shop... bag on the back, just cruising on the power of the Eeb !

IMG_20231017_113858 by Steve Weeks, on Flickr

Makes this sort of stuff really easy and as it's a lovely sunny day, also very very enjoyable. I still wouldn't pick an Eeb on a regular basis, but sometimes they make sense.
