Couldn't see one.

Did my first half centaury today. Plan was to go to balmaha but never quite made it. Got the 50 though. Normalised power 164w, 4hr 23m total, 3hr 45m riding. Going to be much fitter when I get back on the MTB

Going to feel it in the morning

MTB is in bits awaiting a rebuild, so been putting in the miles on the Digger. Friday took me over from Hebden Bridge to Silsden (via some punchy short climbs!) then down the Leeds Liverpool to Leeds and train home.
[img] [/img]
If only Id thought to hang the bike on the fence facing the other way.
Yesterday followed lanes to Littleborough avoiding the valley road, over Blackstone edge then lanes back home in a cold irritating wind. Lambs and Curlews though, spring is here!

New-to-me route finding this morning on the first 2/3s of the ride. And very pleasant it was too. Well until I started feeling dreadful that is. Now lying on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket and duvet, shivering.

@duncancallum black loch?

Went for an adventure to find old trails. They are well and truly gone mixture of growth and wind blow. Never fun unless there a bit of hike a bike

Weekend starts on Thursday right? Fantastic gravel night ride up around the Washburn Valley

A rare day in't office on Friday. Was too sunny and nice to go straight home so took the gravel bike on some local trails. A woman told me I had a very bright light. Not sure if I annoyed her, impressed her, or both.

Test ride of a Sonder Camino for't missus from Alpkit in Ilkley. Accidentally bought a tent.

Enduro in some woods in NYM today

It was a lot muckier than local tracks around Leeds, but still great fun

Spent a good portion of the afternoon cleaning & lubing various bike related things

@halifaxpete - singlespeed home then?

@rocketdog - that's a step up from bringing a sandwich đŸ™‚

Fourth weekend in the Yat. Every one passed 1100m of climbing. Back on the hardtail today with a leaky rear tyre (and a bunged up valve). Ended up with 9 PSI in the back (with a RIMPACT) so grippy, but draggy đŸ˜‰ Brilliant ride tho, conditions remain awesome, ticked off loads of tech stuff we normally wouldn't get to until the other side of Easter.

Didn't refit big 'guards after cleaning the bike. Was not a problem today!

@Alex Tried but the chain kept bouncing off so sacked it off and pushed/scooted/freewheeled back. Was a good ride upto then though and a nice day for walk anyway haha

Down in the Surrey Hills for a weekend away. Plenty of trail spaghetti on pitch hill yesterday but a cracking ride out on the bike. About 55k/1300m all told. New bike is shaping up very nicely.

Cheers to doz for a bit of a tour.

Over to leith hill today, 25k and 600m, not as anywhere near as easy to follow your nose as pitch and quite chilly,should have worn the base layer after all. All went well until I stopped for a coffee at the tower and got too cold - that said it might have been the last bit of climbing up to the tower that did for me, not an easy couple of hundred metres though it didn't look too phase the chap on the honzo behind me! Found I was very wooden on the next descent and as I was headed back to the top I was debating heading to the car or a few more runs. Got back to the tower and it started to (very very) lightly snow so decided better of it, long drive home anyway so no great loss being done a bit early.

Nope, yet again lower back issues keep me off the bike. Really tough to take when trail conditions are almost perfect 😭

Apparently it rained and hailed on Saturday but we managed to miss all the wintry showers with a loop at the local forest.

Sunday, we went on a second failed attempt to find the crash sit of AD540 in our local hills. The hillside has been dug over and planted with a new conifer plantation then deer fenced (locked gates) all around so looking like the site maybe lost forever.

Still, out in the hills, no rain - it's all good.

Saturday was another stage on this https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/biking-the-southern-upland-way-slowest-ever/
