I have noticed the walls on my Nobby Nics are starting to wear, my others did this, and a few who I ride with have had the same. The tyre I really like I use the folding version, someone recommended the snakeskin range, does anyone run these and what are your thoughts

I run them on both bikes. Nobby Nics 2.25 on the Cotic and 2.4s on the Canyonstein.

The 2.4s have withstood several Llandegla trips, and the Marin trail, plus a dozen or so local loops all of which have some nasty rubble-filled plunges amongst them. They're virtually unmarked. I run them tubeless at 25/30psi and am a hefty sort of geezer.

The Cotic did have thinwalled Ralph rear and Nic front, but one trip to Llandegla put huge gouges in the sidewalls, so they've been binned off and replaced with Snakeskins.

I have twice now had the the sidewall on my nobby nics (evo, pace star) has worn out, just above the bead. I had only been about 250 km on it! I guess the pressure was too low so that the tyre shifted and was not properly mounted?
