I find when I'm riding decents, I get very watery eyes! Partially in the cold. This may be due to wearing glasses.
Does anyone else have this issue and could I get away with wearing goggles with a giro xen?
Cheers, Chris

One of my mates suffers with streaming eyes as you describe and he does now wear goggles with a pisspot lid. Mind you, he's fast as so he gets away with it 🙂

I get it a bit too, mainly when I'm running though, downhill in winter.
riding I always ware glasses, running I don't.

When I had a eye test a while ago I mentioned it and she put some stuff in my eye to test the "quality of my tears" which was low. Apparently they can evaporate too quickly which is why the then over compensates. She said the pores on the top eye lid produce oils and the pores can get blocked which doesn't help. To help she said use a flannel as hot as you can on your top eye lids and then pinch them a few times every now and again to help keep them clear and working.

not sure if it helped much I only tried it a few times

Could have been some optometrist April fools or something but that what I was told anyway.

I have the same problem - despite wearing glasses. I eventually bought a set of Oakley Windjackets and that's almost completely resolved it.

29er Keith is spot on, getting heat onto the lids helps improve the production of the oily layer of your tears which slows down the evaporation of your tears. Cold wind will increase this evaporation, you could always slow down, but where's the fun in that! !

Am alternative to a hot flannel is an Eyebag, it contains flax seeds, you microwave it and it retains heat bet than a flannel for a more prolonged effect
