Fed up with the apparent sweatiness and non-waterpoofness of my Endura Convert 2 jacket, I rode to work in this morning's rain in my Mountain Equipment Gore-tex XCR jacket I normally use for walking.

Although I arrived dry, I was still a bit damp from sweat.

For someone who runs hot like me - is there a waterproof cycling jacket out there in which I won't sweat like a fat kid on sports day?

no, there isn't. Windproof jackets are the way forward. You'll get wet one way or another in a waterproof...

nope! eVent is a bit better than goretex though.

Breathability of any fabric relies on having different moisture content in the air outside and inside - ie needs to be drier outside. in the rain this isn't the case, and breathability of fabric basically doesn't exist ever in the rain...

recently got an endura stealth jacket and was very impressed with it - no hint of sweating over my usual hilly commute that has me sweating in my normal jackets. and it has a plethora of vents for when i do start to sweat in it ...
