Great!
I have a free day to do anything I like and its chucking it down
My Humvee's rain resistance has finally had it so I need new trousers

Any ideas before I pop to the shops?

I guess the Humvees were always a compromise so this time I want something 3/4 or full length I can go MTBing in whilst the weather and mud do their best to put others off

Cheers

Alturas waterproof 3/4 are right good and should be widely available.

can't beat Gore waterproof shorts.. and IIRC they have a 3/4 too. personaly I use Gore shorts + knee warmers in this sort of weather. and when it gets really cold then I bring out the full length Gore Alp-X trousers which has the bonus of keeping boots dry inside.

If you are going to get full length go for the Endura Venturi Event pants. I bought them about a month ago and I use them everyday for commuting as well as trail riding and they are really good. Well stiched, well made and seem very strong. Waterproof and windproof, cant ask for more.
