Are you looking to organise one or enter one? Certainly has a big enough area for parking and camping. If its one youre thinking of entering, who's the organiser as important local but not aware of anything planned.

I'm planning on doing this event too. I'm guessing from the abuse it's received on twitter it's not going to be as great as say Newcastleton etc. Be interested too to get some local views on it

The course has been used for southern xc and nps races for a few years.short and steep climbs generally but that could change for an endurance race to longer steady climbs. Nothing like as hilly as Newnham or mayhem.

It does and it doesn't - the Nat Champs were there this year and it was among the drier courses. A few bits cut up, but I imagine they could be avoided.

The NPS last year though was horrific, but that was just torrential rain on the day for hours. It stayed rideable, but certainly wasn't fun.

I really enjoy it, not very hilly, in the dry it's really good fun - lots of fast, flowing singletrack. There's a few bits they can use to 'liven it up' - a set of log steps and a drop that were both used in the Nat Champs that I'd not much fancy at 2am in a 24.

I reckon it'd be good fun, particularly if it's dry, and no Mayhem/SiTS even if it was wet.

Bah, solo only. Shame, team would've been fun. Reckon it'd be great in the dark!

Was looking forward to racing at Newcastleton but I suppose Wasing Park will do.

glad this is coming south, £300 petrol bill up north put it out of my reach as a non-sponsored rider, unfair to have this and kielder 100 year on year,

Came 3rd in a 12 hour a few years ago. It was the most tortuously boring thing I've ever done! Chapeau to those with the mental staying power to stick it out!

This is 5 minutes from my front door. Its not that bad for mud.

You should give this a miss though so the trail stays that way 🙂

It's not always staying power - last 12hr I did I really wanted to quit early on, then realised I was stuck on-site anyway and simply had nothing better to do!
