Heading to Washington Tyne and Weir next week on a course for work. Staying in a travel lodge and thought of taking bike, any trails or stuff in that area??

There are trails near Beamish apparently but I've never ridden them - they might be on Trailforks. For an easy fix you're under an hour from Hamsterley.

COnsett > Sunderland cycle path probably is v close. That runs right through beamish - you'll see trails off the cycle path into the woods. Or head for the Shepherds pub as the trails are right behind/around it.

Otherwise head to Hamsterley as recommended. There's plenty of other smaller spots, but a black/red loop of Hammers is a good 25KM of trails.

Chopwell woods would be handy enough to get to too.
