The bond which secures the threaded insert for the pedal on my sram carbon crank arm is loose so there is now noticeable movement on the pedal 👿

As the bike is only 16 months old will this be covered under warranty ??

Sounds like a good claim to me.
If you've bought the bike from a reputable dealers they'll sort you out no problem

Parts are usually only covered for a year. Might as well have a go but wouldn't get your hopes up

Does that still always hold fast when the parts are supplied on the bike?

Longer on shimano xtr.

Manufacturers normally state their own warranty period for their parts and then the manufacturers for other make parts such as drivetrain.

Eg frame might be 5 years and then see original manufacturer for other bits so 2 years is common.

Remember, warranty is something they offer in addition to your statutory rights. What is a reasonable period for such a product to last?

SRAM is 2 year warranty, they won't mess you about if you send it back through your dealer.

You'll need to send it back to where you bought it from. But yeah, shouldn't be an issue.
