how warm ton? the cycle jersey do a wind cheeta - e.g. http://www.thecyclejersey.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=180 - which looks like it comes in xxl. They're cut neat though.

I've worn mine in all seasons, though it's more a late autumn / winter jersey. It's bloody good at keeping you warm. I suspect Endura have something similar - or get a thinner one and layer up..

Look at Rab Vapour-rise or Marmot Driclime style jackets. Lot of warmth for the weight, breathe well due to not having a membrane and stand up to some fairly crap weather. Or a pertex windshirt over layers (which is basically the same).

Haglofs boa shell... Nice, stretchy, comfy... Quite windproof water resistant (dwr coated) and also light weight.
Has a hood, high neck and scoop tail. Tis a good all rounder and comes up in sport pursuit sales for about £60

Ground Effect - Frosty Boy

I have had mine for many many years and is still doing everything you're looking for 🙂 If I have a go-to top for late autumn to winter to early spring rides, this is it. 🙂

I presume they still make them and the ex rate isn't quite as good now, but

Size big too.

Rab generator smock. Breathes so well you will be steaming when you come to a halt on a freezing cold morning!

I have a generator smock, it is a bit too warm.
I was thinking a fleece maybe, with a windproof front.
thanks for the idea's.

Paramo something, mines a medium and I'm normally XL so they should do one to fit you.

Jambo - yes, they're still going strong. Any decent outdoor or military clothing shop will stock them

Del plus 1 😉
My suggestion of Vapour Rise still stands. Could be goldfish syndrome.

Rab VR is unlikely to fit Ton
He's a big bloke, also the forearms on Rab clothing only suits people with skinny arms.
