There really isn't much choice out there. A few threads talking about it with Chromag stems cropping up along with Syntace (can't find any of those for sale) and no choice of anything under 70mm. Are Giant shooting themselves in the foot?
Any news on Thomson coming out with anything in the not too distant future or has anyone had a beefy enough stem of some other brand bored out a bit?
Seems such a shame to write off a model because you want something shorter than 70mm up front. Do Giant really benefit from doing such a thing?
Ritchey do 70mm 1/4 stems .. Sure it's c260 ?
I thought Giant were moving away from OD2 on their new models, the new Reign and Trances for example?
If your after existing models, then you could possibly get a bearing kit to enable standard forks/stems etc to be fitted.
They are. I thought the 2014 bikes moved away but deffo the 2015. I watched a Giant rep on youtube talking about the new 2015 bikes and he said they responded to customer feedback.
Yep it's done.
No OD2 on 2015 mtbs and only upper road bikes.
Was just reading the other day..

I didn't look further than my nose and should have checked. I was right into the disc road range and was considering getting rid of my old bike, liked the idea of discs and noticed the overdrive on those and sort of lost interest. I still thought that the mtb's were od2. Thank god for that! Cheers guys.
Syntace F119s come with a shim - pretty widely available.
