You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Planning on doing a loop from a guide book this weekend (this great wee book: http://www.bikemaps.co.uk/scotland/scotlandmountainbikingwildtrails.htm) It takes in some Southern Upland Way and the Dempster Road via Wanlockhead.
Has anyone done this and care to comment on conditions, rideability, things to look out for, photos?
Cheers 🙂
Cracking wee track but not done it for years. It is basically a sheep track and not easy to find the start I seem to recall.
Big climb up to the masts btw 😕
Have you checked the weather? Heavy rain is forecast and it tends to snow up there 😐
If you have the time I would zoom down the road, pick up the track through Auchentaggart Moor and then SupW back to Wanlockhead 😆
Be prepared for a bit of hiking tho 🙄 If it is windy, forget it ❗
Did a ride With friends in that area on a mild clear October day and was good fun exploring, lots more routes to explore there again...

Hmm yes weather forecast has made me think again. One for a sunny day perhaps. Cheers for the link, coastkid!
