As title - anyone done this?
A mate and I are pondering a 3 day coast to coast through Wales - thinking Llandudno or Bangor down to Cardiff so we can use trains to get there and back. Wondering about route ideas - Sustrans route 8 seems to hug the coast rather than going through Snowdonia, so looking for any experience or local knowledge please
Cheers
There is an annual Wales in a day ride, you might be able to find that route on their website. It's 185 miles north to south. Some of my club mates have just done it. One of them diverting from his self supported JOGLE ride to join them and ride it followed by a further 129 miles the next day!
There's an annual charity (EFOD) ride which regularly does a N to S Wales route.
Looks like they did a hilly one in 2017 so might be worth trying to contact the ride organisers.
Thanks for this, illI do some research on those routes
Lon Las cymru ? ...starts in holy head goes through Bangor etc and finishes in Cardiff
