You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm finally going to have a go at the Wales Coast to Coast "off-road" route starting next weekend. I'm planning on doing it over 3 and a half days, so no records being broken, but riding alone so no support crew either.
I've decided to combine it with (hopefully) a bit of fund-raising for Cancer Research UK. Only just set-up the Just Giving page this afternoon, so it's looking it bit sparse. I wondered if any kind souls of this great forum would like to get the donation ball rolling, please?

I'll try and keep you all posted on how I get on throughout the trip.
First 40 miles done yesterday. North Wales weather was not kind.
About to set off for Coed-y-Brenin.
Goodluck, brilliant day for riding in n wales today!
Thanks, weather was indeed cracking today. That's the first time I've ridden 3 trail centres in a day. Coed-y-Brenin was excellent, wished I could've stayed there all day. I had to take it easy down ClimachX for fear of a mechanical spoiling the whole ride. Judging by the number of riders doing trail-side repairs, I probably made the right call! The climb and route up to Nant-yr-Arian took it's toll a bit, partly due to running out of water. As I result I didn't enjoy it so much there. Definitely one to go back to in the future and explore properly in the right frame of mind.
The rest of Mid-Wales awaits tomorrow...
Poor mobile reception (not a surprise for Mid-Wales) prevented me posting more frequent updates. I rolled along the Taff trail into Cardiff Bay late yesterday afternoon, struggling to navigate my way through all the commuters.
Conditions were near perfect for most of the way.
I'll try and post up some photos later.
