had one with an iphone for a while. ok on short rides but not very stable on longer rides, would sometimes lock up, not reset, not re-pair etc. not what you want to be messing around with. bluetooth LE would get blocked if i had phone in centre rear pocket, ok in side pocket.

use a garmin now.

Just got a cateye strada smart which is similar from Ribble for £36, will be getting it's first test run tomorrow.

Had one but returned it. Completely unstable with my moto g. Wouldn't connect or stay connected, kept saying new software available, flickering backlight etc. Drains phone battery very quickly via Bluetooth.Finally gave up on it and bought an edge 25 which is brilliant. Someone who has an IPhone gets on fine with it though.

So debut ride with a cateye strada smart. Nexus 5x 6 hour ride 45% battery usage including upload of ride to strava. Happy enough for£35 🙂

I like the strada but it doesn't have ant+ so then I need to buy a new heart rate strap. Getting costly then..
