Was following a bigger van the other day which had an interesting way of carrying the bikes. Turns out they were on the same campsite, lovely fella from Germany visiting 15 mtb'ing sites round Scotland with his girlfriend, lucky bugger!

Anyway, turns out it was a PUSHrack

Currently not officially compatible with the Transporter, think it needs a flat surface to attach to, but the German lad said he'd seen a couple on "buses" in Germany.

Anyone seen one bodged onto a "bus?" Or think it could be done? Tow bar carrier is ok.... but this looks way cooler! (And much easier and more practical!)

You could also have a look at bike-hook.com I know they have started making hooks for the VW and transit. I looked at the PUSH system and liked it but it would have been near £700 all in, whereas the bike hooks imported from the states were just over £300. But you do have to take the front wheel off.

Oooo..... Interesting, not seen those before. Raises a few questions though, does it damage the top of the door? Looks like you have to wrap the rear wheel to protect the door, I bet it leaves marks though. Need to store the front wheel somewhere.....

Would like to see some real world reviews of that on a transporter.

There's a video on the website of a dude putting his bike on a bigger van, he clonks the pedal on the door as it goes on, looks like it'd be quite easy to do some damage.

Interesting though 🤔
