Cool, I'd like to see some big sandy drifts on a TT bike. Like Jan Ullrich's rainy TT at the tour a few years ago, but on sand and with the riders staying upright.

What could possibly go wrong? I reckon a bit of rain and the sand and wood will be fantastic for traction.
Maybe they could apply a "10 seconds deducted from finish time for every cutty executed" rule.
I looked at that the other day, I'm in PB at the Minuit and its filling up nicely with trucks around the entrance to the port, absolutely red hot now the mornings cloud has cleared and I've never seen it as busy.

Some of the cycle paths they're using have almost 1ft gaps in then.. where they've been dug up for cables (Ian Stannards twitter feed shows them)

The stage is neutralised for the GC. Which to be fair makes sense - it would be a bit shit if someone lost out because of a bit of sand. Still counts towards team standings though.
