You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi,
I know there are a couple of users on here. I’ve recently had one fitted and I think I need a lower tune. I’m about 200lbs and have a 4 tune. Can the users state their weight and tune please.
Thanks!
🤔
I’m 180lb in gear ready to ride with backpack. My Fractive setup is as follows…
2018 Fox Factory 36 Fit4
170mm airshaft and Luftkappe installed
65psi
0 Volume Spacers
LSC - 14 click from minimum (-)
Rebound - 8 clicks fom slowest
Fractive damper with F4-PC4 Tune
Rider - 82kg fully kitted out, with backpack
Agression Level - Medium
Preferred Compliance - Balanced
Steve at Vorsprung confirmed these setting were what he would expect to see for my weight and riding style, and it feels good to me. I usually have 10-15mm of travel left on most rides, only using it all on big compressions (usually misjudgments).
HTH.
@Akers great, that’s the kind of info I was looking for. My settings are:
Fit 4
150mm
1 token
Sag 22%
Air pressure 85 psi
HSC open
LSC 10 clicks from firmest
Rebound is 6 clicks from fastest
I can’t seem to get the initial sensitivity set right and it’s a bit harsh. I see your only set to 65 psi, what sag are you getting? I suppose I could lower that and increase the LSC. I was thinking of moving to a 3 tune and then I think I’d be more in the middle of the settings, but it’ll enable me to run the same sag but with more compliance (I think). The setup instructions also recommend setting up with the HSC lever in the middle position, but I’ve not needed to move it from open. Might also remove the last token to try that too.
Overall though it’s definitely an improvement.
@jsync - Sag is about 28%, as I like it plush to match the Storia on the rear. The Luftkappe, increasing the negative air chamber, really helps with the sensitivity off the top of the stroke.
I chose not to have the luftkappe and have a 2019 evol airshaft instead. Maybe they are designed as a pair?
