Hi,

I've a 2013 Voodoo Bizango and the forks are....well I'm going to use the word knackered but bottom line is they aren't working, so not much "give" when pushing down on them and not much rebound either. There isn't a great deal of difference with the lock on or off!

I'm wondering what to do as the bike isn't worth much but I do like it! Options seem to be:

1. Get LBS to service them. They quote as £80 excluding any parts. Worth it or should I do 2...
2. Buy some new forks. I'm not really sure what would be the right choice but with the value of the bike is this a viable option?
3. Have a crack at servicing them myself. I don't have any specific tools and have no experience so I'm more than a little wary of stepping down this path tbh.
4. Live with it and look to pick up a new bike sometime soon. Problem with this option is I'm not flush with cash atm so buying a new buy could be some way off!

Links to bike specs...which interestingly give difference details for the forks....

- https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/bikes/mountain-bikes/voodoo-bizango-review-2/ (Raidon LO air sprung 15mm QLoc axle, 120mm)

I guess I'm just after a steer as to what I should do but any help is much appreciated!

Thanks

One £80 service in over 7 years doesn't sound like bad value for money. £80 spent any other way isn't going to give you the same return.

They are fairly simple forks. Why not try servicing it yourself. If it goes wrong, take to the LBS.
