Thinking about getting one of these for xc use, long local routes etc, seems good spec for the money, anything I should know or look out for before I click buy? I'm 6 foot so going f it a 20", although I'm also in range for an 18" frame too

Thanks
Sam

6ft here and hate the 18" to 20" jump 🙁 allways think a 19" would be perfect. If it's just riding around maybe the 20", more technical riding the 18" might be better. Definitely try and sit on both if you can.

I got the Voodoo bokor which is very similar but with some higher specs. It was discounted to 680 when I got it and sometimes they discount the Bizango closer to 500.

I got the 18" at 5'10.5" and am happy with the sizing. Use it around the Surrey hills and it tackles everything really nice.

Awesome bike for the money. First upgrade should be brakes.

Top tube, or reach, isn't as long as a lot of the more extreme "long low slack" bikes out there. Also has a good amount of standover. So I'd say go for the 20". I'm 6'5" and went for the 22" Bokor (same geometry), could happily have handled a longer frame.

Also there are rumours of a new version, not sure how true they are but does mean there may be some good discounts in the pipeline. Don't forget you get 10% off with British cycling membership.

The only issue with Halfrauds is they are reluctant to order in stock without payments up front in my experience so trying for size is difficult.#
You could get better service from an independent shop, so much choice out ther now.
I brought a Merida Big 9 ,fantastic bike .

Odd. When I ordered my voodoo online I only had to pay when I picked it up. Valid point about the local bike shop but the Bizango does seem to be well regarded and a bit of a bargain.

Found another store who had a 18" bokor instock which I've had a sit on, to be fair it didn't feel to pad, 240mm from top of seat clamp to seat rails so room for a 150mm dropper post. Would have liked to sit on a 20" to but non of the 29er In stock where this size.

Finally managed to sit on a 20" bizango. It looks like a massive frame, it would be fine for just long rides but I wouldn't mind the ability to have somthing with some chuckabilty so have opted for a 18", will be able to get a 150mm dropper in it although dropper routing looks odd, cable exits on the back of the seat tube to the chain side?

No bizango on stock at warehouse so have a 2 week wait
