Never had a bike rack before, but need to transport the family's bike to the Lakes in a couple of weeks. Anyone use on on their V40 they like?

same as any other car really I use to use my 3 bike thule toe bar mounted rack on my v 40 or you could go with one of the roof mounted options if you've got the roof rales on ?

Do you have a new V40 or an old one? If you have the old one (1996-2004), I have the V40 roof bars in the garage that you can have for the price of postage. They connect directly into the fix points rather than to roof rails.
I've also got S40 ones (again 1996-2004) if anyone is interested.
