'The system failed M'Lud. Not my fault I was driving like a psychotic idiot'...
It's either full-on self-driving cars or nothing IMO, this kind of half-way house is another incentive for drivers to take their mind off driving properly.

...able to detect threats including a cyclist suddenly swerving out into a car's path.
We need a system to detect threats of badly written articles shifting the blame on to cyclists.

Personally not keen on the idea.
I can only see this being a further dumbing down of driving skills.
