US bike firm Volagi Cycles has suspended its operations after co-founder Robert Choi was left in a coma following a collision with a vehicle during an after-work ride on Wednesday.The company said: “ He sustained what seemed to be only minor injuries, only to later collapse at the office where his wife Lucy disovered him unconscious.
“He is currently in a coma at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah with a potential skull fracture.
It added: “Robert was also training to beat the world record for vertical mileage climbed in a 48-hour period and planned to try his record attempt this fall in California. It is incredibly difficult to see such a strong person in this condition.”
