Has anyone got one?
I'm after a hardtail, I'm a shortarse so can't be a 29er. I'm a weight weenie so a 'hardcore' hardtail that weighs 28lb is right out. Already got two Giants so rather not get an XTC. The Vitus looks a serious bargain, and FWIW MBR loved the alu version.
Please advise 🙂
Bump. Anyone?
Dunno - but scroll to the bottom of this Pinkbike page - made me chuckle...
Thanks Brant, helpful 🙂
what I really wanted was a 27.5 Whippet with 120mm forks.
Sorry fella.
Fast xc bikes don't have 650b wheels. They is 29in.
If you want a hardcore 650b bike, that's light. Hmm.
Seen the Parkwood 29? Fits even my short ex boss.
Scott seem to disagree and not all their XC bikes are 29ers and in fact one in particular bucks the trend with a rather rapid Mr Nino Schurter aboard their mid-sized wheel speed machine.

Wow. So the carbon scale 710 is only 3/4lb lighter than my 26 ht I use for racing which for £250 at xcracer I could almost match.
I need to stop looking for a bigger wheel sized bike.
3/4 of a lbs on a race bike frame is quite a chunk but then its also quite a chunk of cash
well, I now have a shiny red XTC Advanced 27.5. Having 3 Giants just seemed well, dull. But I guess I can live with that.
Rode it round Dalby and the trails definitely came alive.
