You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just been out for the first time on my new Anthem X with 2 x 10 Shimano.
I was worried if I had made the right decision, as I live in a reasonably hilly area and don't have the most power in my legs. But boy did it prove me wrong!
Climbing was easier and I could swear I was going up hills quicker than I previously would, ie I would probably drop to the granny. It just felt more efficient and much more grippy on the really steep stuff.
The down side was I found myself shifting all over the place on flowing up and down singletrack, but I guess getting it right will come with experience.
Now the only questions... the rear XT shifter feels very positive to the extent of being agricultural/slightly damaged esepcially shifting down the block, is that normal?
Also from having originally having had a Shimano 10 speed chain on the previous Anthem, replacing it with a KMC one, which was far better, and now moing back to a Shimano chain, I can confirm that Shimano chains are still awful!
So I am an 2 x 10 convert 😀
