Can anyone recommend a really simple video editor like the old Moviemaker where you can simply drag and drop segments of video into the timeline at the bottom? I'm running Windows 7 professional.

Er, i found movie maker pre embedded on my windows 7 laptop.
perfect for the little vids i make.

Yes, but it isn't intuitive or easy to use like the old version, or at least I can't find help or instructions that I can follow easily.

Google and download Windows Movie Maker 2.6 - it will install alongside the newer version and is the one you're after.
