As title. I suffer from numb hands and a change of bars has been suggested. I can get 760mm Spank Vibrocore bars for £50ish and was wondering if it's worth the spend?

They are good bars, with a nice shape but I’m not fully convinced by the vibrocore claims.

If you have serious issues with hand numbness, then perhaps look at FASST bars - they are now producing an MTB bar - whilst they get rave reviews in the Motocross and Enduro world.

I'm not convinced vibrocore will help that much.

I'm assuming that you have already moved away from lock ons to wired ons or ESIs?

I have used Vibrocore bars for over a year now and absolutely love them.  I know it’s easy to be influenced by marketing hype, but genuinely I have noticed a difference. I used some 800mm Kore bars on my Segment before these and the reduction in arm pump and numb hands was really noticeable.

I was very sceptical before, but have always been impressed with Spank stuff so took a punt.

It is really noticeable on long descents, just get to the bottom and arms feel nice and loose.

I'm also interested in these as my hands get very painful in the rough. I have spank 777 at the moment and they're excellent. I think stw reviewed the vibrocores and said they really work.

ESIs? What are they?

I'm using Absolute Black dual compound silicone grips at the moment which have helped but I'm looking to add some rise to my bars anyway so want to get the best bang for my buck.

I'm the worlds biggest cynic but I've got Oozy's on my HT combined with Ritchey foam grips and voila it works just that . In fact I rode my FS today 1st time in ages longer travel than HT and hands felt quite achey ?

I went from renthal 780's to spank vibrocore 800's both in 31.8mm and the same grips but more rise in the Spanks - personally I preferred the Renthal - I think they have a bit more 'give' or flex, the Spank feel more rigid and my hands seem to take more with them but the increased rise suits me better.

+1 for silicon grips, although I would recommend the cheap ones off eBay they appear to be exactly the same as branded ones...

Crikey, my renthals are stiff as with the thickest walls I've seen on a bar!

I rate them. I went from an EA70 to an Oozy vibrocore. It's not that it has any more give, it's just that it takes a lot longer before my hands are stinging.

And it's red.
