Hmmm, do you know if they're tubelessable?

Thanks OP - I was looking for a fast and light gravel tyre for mrs_oab's new bike to replace her proper slicks.

Anyone comment on how these compare to the WTB Resolute as a summer/dry-ish trails tyre?

Very good of you. What is it?

In my defence it was less clear as I was pulling my jacket on to head out the door. Now I'm at the office and have plenty of time to browse the Web I see the obvious.

Second sentence in the link ...

"This easy-rolling, tubeless-ready tyre ..."

Hmm, nice. I use these on my gravel/commuter all year round (All Round, geddit!?) not sure 40c will fit in my frame though. Worth a punt to find out. Would a tanwall on the front, black on the rear upset people?

Yes. And if it doesn't upset you you're a monster

My default tyre choice on the gravel bike, they're very good. Fast enough on road and cope with most stuff off-road.

Schwalbe changed the description without changing the tyre; they called it 40c because bigger is better but actually it's just a rebranded 38...

100% ??  The only thing putting me off is frame clearance as it's a great tyre

Nice, cheers for the PSA OP.

Ordered a pair, as they're much lighter than my current gravel tyres.

But are these G-one going to be better suited to summer use than winter?
I had scored some similarly cheap WTB nanos a few weeks back from CRC that I can probably use through winter and then swap to the G-ones for summer...

Thanks for this. Running 38mm CXPros at the moment and hoping these will fit, but jonnyboi's comment suggests that won't be a problem lol. As above, OK for winter use?

They do run out of grip in the mud and get a bit lively. They are very fast but I switched to Riddler's for a bit more all condition grip (+some more volume). For dry or hardpack trails these schwalbe are fantastic though.

At this price their lack of durability isn't a problem, many thanks OP! Great PSA

[Quoting seems to be broken?]

Thanks, that's good news. Been looking for some wide tyres for winter road use, but thought 40 might be a bit too wide.

Link is broken so I assume that they've all gone.  How much were they, out of interest?

Been after some cheap gravel tyres for ages.  I suppose ebay will be awash with them soon, with a riidiculous mark-up?

plus a fiver or so postage, so a pair will have cost whoever is flipping them on eBay up to ~£30.

Hmmm, a week on and my tyres have only just been dispatched, suggests Rubble had to restock with all the demand...

They claim they were stock taking last week which caused an extra few days delay. They're never the quickest despatching things h usually takes about 5 days before despatch.

Mine has finally changed to picking
