On my 26” Santa Cruz I’ve got vertical drop outs but the wheel became loose the other day. Probably my fault for not tightening the quick release up but it got me thinking about an old tandem we had years ago that had these sort of locking parts that fitted on the end of the frame.
Anyone got a clue what they are called and if you can still get them ?

Tug nuts? I've one on my singlespeed.

Scratch that - they are for horizontal drop-outs

*engage pedant mode*

Two wrongs are still wrong.

Trackend =\= Horizontal drop out.

The former is what you have. The latter you find on old bikes and the wheel drops out forwards.
