Hi guys,
This fatbike has popped up on wiggle. Its Reynolds steel frame. I know its a bit weighty at nearly 20kgs but its only about 3kg more than a fatty. Some of the spec is basic but with a change of gearing, it could be an ok for getting into fatbikes price wise. I think the frame and forks look really nice. Any reviews out there or does anyone have one.
I am considering holding out for the new calibre dune when that comes out but I don't know what the price mark will be and it looks to have a freewheel on the back.
Cheers
Tom
I was just looking at the £500 voodoo fatbike. Looks interesting.
I saw those too. I think that's why these have been reduced.
The Voodoo looks on paper like being well worth the extra cost, to me. If I had space, I'd already have one. There's just a bit too much no-name on that Verenti, including the tyres which is a big spend if they suck.
42t chainring?!
42.8lbs with drilled rims and 1x8!? Sound like there wouldn't be much room for adding cheap lightness and with the fat tyres and 42x32 lowest gear it'd make for a serious work out.
Voodoo sounds like a much better option especially if you can get some of the discounts Halfords often do.
Much like the GoOutdoors fat bikes being ridden around mayhem, 2x8 with a huge big ring but it didn't seem to hinder the riders. £350 is a great price
I must admin, space in the garage is the only thing that stopped me going out and getting two of those voodoos today. Thought it might be fun for me and the wife.
Looks like they took they photo by standing it upside-down on the handlebars and seat. Either that or it has an anti gravity chain....
Voodoo looks good. Buy one and let us know if any good.
Where do you get those anti gravity chains from?
The Coyote Fatman at Go Outdoors? Looks like the stem is too long, the frame weirdly proportioned.
The Verenti looks a bit better proportioned and a bit less "bicycle shaped object".
