Anyone used the Vaude Bike Gaiters rather than a traditional neoprene type overshoe…?

I've used hillwalking type gaiters many times. The problem with the Vaude ones (and Gore do some very similar models) is that to cover the whole shoe the have a bit tucking under the toe. Walk with them at all and you will wear through the material very quickly. Some sort of robust rubber rand would improve things - like the old Berghaus Yeti gaiters

no .... but not bought a bit of vaude kit yet that hasn't been spot on functionally and long lasting (no relation)
