They are bloody nice aren't they? I'd have one as a commuter, if I were rich.
..and lived somewhere which was better infrastructured etc. Yes, nice. Had a browse in their Amsterdam store last year.
I'd still ride one in the UK. Unless it was hilly.
Seen a couple around Cambridge. I thought they were pseudo-bamboo hipster mobiles, didn't realize they were electric mopeds.

Crikey!
Their theft protection/Insurance is great.
£215 for three years cover
How does Peace of Mind theft protection work? Simple. When you report your bike stolen in the VanMoof app, we alert our ruthless Bike Hunter team to track it down. If we can’t recover it for you within two weeks, we'll replace it with a bike of the same (or better) age and condition.

Are there two VanMoofs? I assumed that the name was ironically the Dutch for fugly but I'm clearly wrong. I do confess however to finding it difficult to get beyond advertising lines such as 'we want to change the world','the disposable economy is hurting our planet' and 'we ride outside the box'. It makes me want them all to be involved in a bizarre accident with a nuclear powered beard trimmer and a large pile of falling rocks
Is it also not one of these

or any thing else from the scandi 'design' houses
When van moof first started selling in the uk, on the website description it proclaimed the benefits of using a quill stem rather than an ahead stem as quill stems were less prone to going out of adjustment. Yeah right I thought- not in my experience. My friends son bought one - very heavy and expensive - but as he loudly proclaimed it had a built in lock and lights. I note that these earlier versions now go pretty cheap secondhand on ebay
