I’m looking for ways to organise my van better and need to figure out how to store helmets as they take up so much space with their awkward round shapes. My van pretty much has my helmet and both the kids’ helmets in it at all times.

Ideally not too expensive either.

Actually, any van storage ideas for all riding kit would be appreciated.

I screwed a helmetor clip to the trim, it’s a plastic sprung clip that fits into a vent or you can just hang the helmet from it, no complaints and fairly unobtrusive when the helmets not on there.

And they don’t rattle at all?  They could do the trick. I was hoping someone would have something with pockets for helmets and kit, but these might do the trick

I found one of these lying around the garage so screwed it into the inside of one  of the barn doors, fits back packs and helmets on it. Cheap and cheerful

We’ve got evoc helmet holders for ours. I think they are originally designed to fix to the outside of a bag.

We just have hooks and hang them by the strap, I have a helmetor in my little van and love it, doesnt rattle, but it takes up more space than a hook and hanging from the strap and wouldnt fit my current troy lee helmet.

I’ve never heard of Helmetor - what a great looking idea.

Don’t honestly notice any noise from the helmetor mount, have 2 more on my garage cupboards that get used over and over again- no failures, obviously they’re not moving but the materials don’t suffer over time. There are obviously some designs of helmet that won’t quite work as I think has been mentioned. But works with my Oakley, spesh and fox helmets fine.

I’ll throw a bonus in, if anyone buys kids shoes (for their kids, let’s not be weird) the little clips that hold them together work really well well for pairing gloves and these hang nicely on the helmetor mount too.

These storage nets on the back door for us. Well, may not be exactly these, but pretty close.

I had similar on the side panel of my van, just above bike height. No need for anything more fancy and I could also stuff pads, shoes goggles or whatever in.

Mine just hang by the chin straps from karabiners. But then, they (helmets) also get used as storage for socks, snacks, etc, so that works. I should try and get some better proper storage in there at some point

Just stack them in the boxes supplied when you bought them? It's almost like those boxes were designed for ease of storage and to prevent the helmets rattling around.
