Hi all

this is purely speculative and currently the bike isn't for sale, however, if it't not against forum rules can anyone give me an indication as to what my bike is currently worth? I am looking to fund an upgrade to a whyte T-130RS

My current bike is an upgraded 2016 Whyte 905

the original spec is found here - http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/whyte-905-16

I have upgraded the following:

- Single speed, Absolute black n/w oval chain ring
- 2016 XTR 11spd rear shifter
- 2016 Deore XT shadow+ rear mech
- 2016 11 spd cassette / chain
- Shimano Saint front / rear brakes
- Rochshox Revelation RCT3 spec
- Rochshox Reverb stealth 170mm
- On one knuckleball carbon bars

It's in good condition and has been very well maintained but it has been used and i'm not one for frame wrapping so there are signs of wear and tear.

Thoughts on the value?

I'll go with "what you think/hope it's worth - 40%"

..because..
I am looking to fund an upgrade to a whyte T-130RS

..and the T130 doesn't come in frame only.

I would buy frame only as the parts are relatively comparable, I have tried to source a frame but they won't sell me one 🙁

I could stop being a tart and just do a few more upgrades on mine - wheels, cranks etc but that T-130rs is lovely!

40% of the original cost - sadly the upgrades don't add a lot in my experience

Completed ebay listings: Last medium sold for £750.

I'd guess abuot £800-850 depending on condition.

In my experience value can be very subjective and the value is very much down to how it's marketed.Good photos and a good but honest description of condition can work wonders.

If you aren't in a hurry splitting can realise a higher value.

I recently split a 2010 Anthem and got back nearly £850, selling some via the classifieds and the remainder on eBay.
I think the STW tight wads would have probably said that bike would be worth £600.

When I was looking for a 905 earlier this year on eBay it seemed that they hold their value very well, as it's an in demand bike. I think you'd get at least £800.
